None at all. Most students have never held a chef's knife when they arrive. Groups are capped at twelve so teachers adapt to your level, and every recipe includes a beginner track.

Yes — every recipe on this site is free forever, including printable ingredient lists. Classes and private events are the only paid parts of Saltmeadow Kitchen.

Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free adaptations are built into nearly every class. Tell us when booking and your station will be prepped accordingly — serious allergies get a separate briefing with the head chef.

Book through the contact form and we confirm within one working day. Full refunds up to 72 hours before class, free rescheduling up to 24 hours before.

The morning market, two partner farms and our own herb beds. Menus change with the seasons, which is why the same class in spring and autumn can taste completely different.

Yes — birthdays, team days and hen parties for 8 to 30 cooks. You choose the menu, we handle everything else including the washing up. Request a quote with your date.

Recipes may be shared non-commercially with credit and a link back. Photos, class materials and the Saltmeadow Kitchen name require written permission — just ask, we usually say yes.
